Barangay Talon according to the folks its derived its name from the local word "Talon" which means forest. It is located at the foot of the hill more or less 10km, aerial distance from the Roxas City Cathedral to the southwest of the city. It is the last Barangay of the Roxas City to the southwest. Barangay Talon was separated from Roxas City by the river that run from the mouth of the south through the west. Its prime products came from the sea.
Mrs. Edna Viterbo, owner of talon integrated farm started as a hobbyist. Her husband was an agriculture graduate from UP Los banos and when they were newly married, he often gifted her with orchid plants from his classmates in Los banos. this started her love for plants orchids in particular.
